By: Claudia Repsold
People can go to one place, but have completely different experience. When I’m traveling, I´m searching to create memories that will last a lifetime. I´m inn for thrill of a new experience.
Imagine waking up in the middle of the jungle in a cabana built on stilts. You look around, your room is rustic but elegant; you are surrounded by nature, but the hot shower is right there in your private bathroom. The TV has channels in English and AC keep you cool all the time, but still; you are in the middle of the Amazon rain forest. It’s a bit surreal.
This unparalleled place is the Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, located in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, in front of Anavilhanas Archipelago, the second biggest fluvial archipelago of the world with 400 islands.

- Pack comfortable clothes. The Amazon is hot year-round so you won’t need to carry that 20-pound jacket around, but you will need to pack a lightweight long sleeve shirt and pair of pants for trekking in the jungle.
- If you plan to spend time on a boat or near the rivers, insect repellent is a must. The number of mosquitoes depends on the season, rain, location…but it’s better to be safe than sorry! WEAR WHITE CLOTHES. Mosquitoes love to hide in dark color clothes.
