10 Celebrities Who Train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Regularly

One of the hottest trends in celebrity fitness today is the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over the years, we’ve seen quite a few famous faces training it, however the practice is nothing new. President Roosevelt trained Jiu-Jitsu to lose 20 pounds prior to the election of 1904.

You’ll be surprised at some of the names on this list.

1- Ed O´Neil

Modern Family´s Ed O’Neil has been a trained under Rorion Gracie for almost 20 years. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

2- Jim Carrey

He is crazy, funny guy but he is also surprisingly skilled. Jim Carrey holds the rank of brown belt in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Some people saw him at Jorge Gurgel´s academy.

3 – Ashton Kutcher

He’s a funny guy, but he could easily throw you out! The two and half Man just received his Blue Belt last year. He is currently training at Rigan Machado

4 – Nicolas Cage

He is an actor that can really roll on the mat. Nicolas Cages trains Jiu-Jitsu under the UFC champion Royce Gracie.

The beautiful actress trains Jiu-Jitsu for years, proving that sport is for both sexes and has something to offer for everyone.

Known for his comedic abilities and acting talent, Joe Rogan is a dedicated black belt Jiu-Jitsu student under Eddie Bravo and Jean Jacques Machado.

8 – Anthony Bourdain

Emmy winner Anthony Bourdain is addicted to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he trains at Renzo Gracie’s Academy.

No list of tough guys would be complete without Chuck Norris. An avid martial arts enthusiast, Norris was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu by Helio Gracie and has trained for many years with the Machado brothers.

10 – Guy Ritchie
Screenwriter and filmmaker Guy Ritchie holds a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Guy is a great example of how martial arts can be a lifelong activity; he is training since the age of seven.

  3. Once I saw Ed O´Neil training, he is a real cool guy. After rolling he took his time to take some pictures with fans. I thought that was nice of him, he was all sweated and tired but he kept it cool.
